Crossworld - eit internasjonalt fellesskap på Sandane
Crossworld
På Sandane bur her ein del flyktningar. Vi som har starta opp Crossworld synest det er givande å møte menneske frå andre kulturar, og vi vil gjerne bidra til at flyktningane og andre personar frå ulike land finn seg til rette her. Crossworld er spesielt tilrettelagt for at også dei som endå ikkje kan godt norsk, skal få mulegheit til å delta i eit kristent fellesskap og samtidig få praktisere norsken. Men utbytte er gjensidig; dei av oss som er norske synest det er svært inspirerande å få vere ilag med desse som har ein annan kulturell bakgrunn enn oss. Vi nordmenn har godt av å få nye perspektiv på livet!
Many refugees have found their way to Sandane. The founders of Crossworld find it rewarding to meet with people from other cultures. Furthermore, we wanted to offer some kind of help to the refugees and other people from various countries to find a place in our community. Crossworld is especially adapted so that people who are not yet comfortable with norwegian, may still be able to join a christian community. Also, one will be able to practice in the norwegian language. The activity provides all part-takers with many possible outcomes; the norwegians in the group find it inspiring to be a part of a small, multicultural society . Norwegians have a lot to gain by getting new perspectives on life - your perspective!
Om namnet Crossworld:
Med orda «cross» og «world» får vi fram at ulike verder kryssar kvarandre når folk frå ulike kulturar og nasjonar møtest for å bli betre kjende med kvarandre og med Gud. Men med ordet «cross» understrekar vi at ord om korset; bodskapen om at Gud har komme til verda gjennom Jesus Kristus, står sentralt når vi møtest.
By the words "cross" and "world", we want to get across the meaning that different worlds cross paths when people from different cultures and nations meet to get to know each other and God. "Cross" underlines the fact that words about the cross; the gospel of God coming to earth through Jesus Christ forms a main focus when we meet.
Kva vi gjer på:
Ca kvar 14. dag møtest vi heime hos Bjørg og Svein Ottar Sandal. Vi brukar å vere mellom 8-15 personar som møtest, med ei god blanding av norske og av flyktningar.
I løpet av ein kveld har vi lovsong, der i blant afrikasongar, vi har god mat og prat, lesing av ein bibeltekst på norsk med parallelltekst på engelsk, fransk, tigrinja, eller andre språk etter behov. Deretter samtalar vi om bibelteksten to og to, før vi til slutt samlast alle og ber ilag, på valfritt språk.
About every second Wednesday we meet at Bjørg and Svein Ottar Sandal place. We use to be 8-15 people at these evening meetings, with a good mix of refugees and Norwegians.
The typical meeting includes worship - we like to share songs from different countries - good food and a chat, reading from the Bible in Norwegian with parallel text in English, French, Tigrinya or in other languages that is required. Then we discuss the text two and two, before we finish it off with gathering all and pray in whatever tongue or language we want. The Lord understands!
Misjonsprosjekt
Gjennom forbønn og kollekt støttar vi Normisjon sitt arbeid blant fulanerane i Mali. Den lokale kyrkja ønskjer å nå denne folkegruppa gjennom alfabetisering, evangelisering og dåpsopplæring. vi blir oppdaterte på arbeidet gjennom e-mailkontakt med ein fulaner.

We support the work of Normisjon amongst the Fulani in Mali through prayer and gifts. The local church aims at reaching out to this tribe by alfabetising, evangelising and education. We get updates on the activity of this project through mailcorrespondance with a fulani.
